Paksane road : Faces

Assorted faces along the way—not all from the Paksane road… too dusty!
(Pat Hunt cont.) The other occasion was when I fell in the river with my camera and it came out full of muddy water. My trusty Pentax! I was mortified. I went to Pat for advice, although I thought the camera was finished. He said “Wash it.” What? He said, “To get the mud out”. With nothing to lose, I washed the inside with clean water. Then he said “Put it in the air conditioner.” There was one in his darkroom. I put the camera next to the outlet. “It’ll freeze the water out,” he said. It did. I had that camera another five years, through Cambodia and Japan, and it was still working when I gave it to my father.
