The Folk Dance　

 

To save film for the classical dance, I only took three shots of the folk dance, and only one of those came out. This is the bamboo pole dance, and everyone is enjoying it. The tall dancer in the folk dance photo may be Voan Savay’s husband (whom she married 7 years later), Meas Vanroeun. This dance may have originated from the Kuy ethnic minority or, more likely, from the Philippines, where it was observed by King Norodom (1834-1904), who travelled there.
